The Junction was a bustling business and commercial sector of downtown Kansas City, named for the intersection of Main, Delaware and 9th streets. The tall building in the center was home to the Kansas City Times, as well as the ticket office to the Chicago & Alton Railway, before being replaced in 1916 with the more modern Kay Hotel.
