Denver, Colorado, The Electric Fountain in City Park, c1908

Commissioned in preparation for the 1908 Democratic National Convention, the electric fountain in Denver�s City Park was designed by F.W. Darlington. At a time when electric power was still transitioning into daily use, the displays that could be put on using the fountain�s multicolored lights and easily controlled pumps were considered a technological marvel.
