Denver, Colorado, The Lookout at Inspiration Point, c1910

In 1882, James Hull purchased land outside of Colorado Springs that encompassed both Seven Falls and Inspiration Point. Concerned that logging would endanger the areas natural beauty but still looking to realize a profit on his purchase, Hull installed admissions gates, developed trails and viewing platforms, and retained the services of a stableman to outfit visitors to his property with mounts.
