Tour de France Cycliste, 12e Annee 1914. | Carte du Tour de France, Cycliste du 26 Juin au 28 Julliet 1914, Editee par le Journal L'Auto, Organisateur de la Course, Lisez tous L'Auto. | 12th annual Tour de France but also the last for five years because of World War I. On the starting day of the race departing Paris, Franz Ferdinand, the Archduke of Austria, was assassinated, starting the First World War. The race was dominated and won by Phillipe Thys. At least three of the men who dominated the previous tours (1907-1910) perished in the war. Bicolor map of the race route; on verso are lists of teams and route stage details.

We print high quality reproductions of historical maps, photographs, prints, etc. Because of their historical nature, some of these images may show signs of wear and tear - small rips, stains, creases, etc. We believe that in many cases this contributes to the historical character of the item.
