Luna Park in Cleveland’s Woodland Hills neighborhood was the second amusement
park built by Frederick Ingersoll, who went on to build more than 40 parks across the
country. Often called “Cleveland’s Fairyland of Pleasure,” the park featured attractions
for all ages yet its main revenue source came from alcohol sales. The age of Prohibition
followed by the Great Depression led to the park’s closure in 1929.
