Orders

We are a small business located in Buffalo, NY. All products are printed in-house.

Our images are printed on high quality archival paper and are meant to last a lifetime. Maps, art prints, posters, and blueprints are printed on heavyweight paper with a matte finish. Photographs are printed on luster paper, which is a perfect balance between a glossy and matte finish. 

Our products vary in size based on the product. If you see a product and have a question about specific sizing, please fill out our Contact Us form.

We can print very large sizes. As a general rule, we can print almost any image up to 44 inches on the short side. Contact us for custom/oversize orders.

Yes, can offer a digital download file. Please contact us with specific product information and we will be able to help you.

Yes, you can order prints in bulk. With larger quantities, we can offer a bulk discount. Please contact us with specific product information and we will be able to help you. Discount amounts will be dependent on quantities ordered.

Prints

No, any watermarks you may see on the site will not appear on the print you receive.

Yes! We edit every image before printing. How much depends on the quality and condition of the scan. At the very least, every image is edited for global contrast, brightness, sharpness, and color correction. With some images, especially the vintage maps, the edit may include digitally removing distracting elements like library stamps, pencil writing, serious creases, tears, or blemishes.

No. While we do our best to clean up the images and remove distracting elements like library stamps and book binding creases, we also want the maps to retain their historical character as much as possible. This may mean leaving in rich textures, fading, stains, etc. There are many judgment calls in this process - it’s a delicate balance and we have (sometimes heated) internal debates about image restoration. This is our passion after all! Our main goal is to deliver the best possible version of the map or print you saw on our site. We believe we’ve gotten very good at this over the years - our customers love our prints!

It depends! Many maps have text ranging from large to tiny, so legibility will depend on the size of map you order. The smallest text on some maps may not be legible at smaller print sizes. Many customers love the overall look of the map and don’t mind some text being very small, while other customers might buy our maps for academic/research purposes, and so may be more selective. If you’re not sure about a specific map, contact us and we will answer any questions.

Shipping

Yes, once your order has been placed, you will receive a tracking number in the confirmation email. You can track the package and see when it will arrive. Your order will be shipped via USPS or UPS.

All prints, maps, and photos larger than 11x14 are carefully rolled and shipped in our sturdy proprietary triangular cardboard tubes, ready for you to hang or your wall or frame when they reach their destination. Smaller size prints (11x14 and under) are shipped flat with a cardboard backing in clear plastic, inside a cardboard shipping envelope.

We can ship products locally and internationally. If you have specific questions regarding a destination, please feel free to Contact Us.

The list of available countries for shipping is available at checkout. If you do not see your location listed, we do not ship there at this time.

Returns & Refunds

Your Satisfaction Is Our Top Priority. If you are unsatisfied with your order for any reason, please contact us immediately. We will be happy to help!

Yes, we cannot accept returns on the following items:

- Any order returned more than 30 days after it was received.

- Any damaged or otherwise non-resalable print.

- Any gift certificates.

 - Any custom order.

We welcome all items for a refund within 30 days of receiving your order.

When filling out the Contact Us form, feel free to ask questions about your return and if possible, please list the reason.

Because we are a small business, returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Return postage is the responsibility of the customer.

Refunds will be issued within two business days of receiving the returned product. You will be refunded in the same form of payment originally used to purchase the item.

Coupons and promotional discounts used will be deducted from the refund. Initial shipping charges for products received by customers are non-refundable.

Replacement/Damaged Print

We understand that on rare occasions, products could be damaged by the time you receive them. If you receive a damaged package, please take pictures of the items. We are happy to help!  Please fill out the Contact Usform and we will be in touch soon.

Gift Certificates

Yes! If you would like to purchase a Gift Certificate at any time, they are available in the following amounts: $25, $50, $100 and $150.
