French Brattleboro Vt. | The first issue by Greenleaf, being a reissue of David Burr's 1836 edition of A New Universal Atlas. A new map of Texas is added. There are several changes from the Burr 1836 issue, primarily new railroads and some new counties. With the exception of the map of Illinois, Burr's imprint is removed from all the maps, as well as the copyright notice below the neat line . Full color. Atlas is bound in half leather black paper covered boards with a circular label reading "Jeremiah Greenleaf's Universal Atlas"; the spine has "Atlas" stamped in gold.
