The map covers the east side of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River which separated United States and Canada from Alexandria to Cape Vincent, including Clayton, Orleans, Lyme, Brownville, Theresa, Antwerp, Philadelphia, Wilna, Champion, Leray, Pamelia, Rutland, Hounsfield, Henderson, Ellisburg, Lorrain, Watertown, Rodman, Adams and Worth. There is appealing detail throughout with the roads, towns, and railroad lines clearly represented. Various communities are identified with larger districts highlighted in vivid pastels. This map was issued as plate nos. 120 and 121 in Everts' New Century Atlas of Counties of the State of New York.
